The Spring Concert on 13th May 2017 was a celebration of 70 years of choral music in Ampthill. The programme comprised some choral classics, including Faure’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria. The performance ended with three choruses from the Messiah, the Hallelujah Chorus brought the evening to a rousing conclusion. The choir was joined by three young soprano soloists, Kirsten Burt, Kirsty Williams, Victoria Wray, who all sang beautifully and we were also under the direction of our new conductor, Karen Beer, for the first time.
The choir would like to thank everyone who has supported the Choral Society over the years as singers, conductors, accompanists, soloists and, of course, audiences. We look forward to many more years of choral music in Ampthill!
